- To install HALCON 9.0 on the Sony XCI-SX1, XCI-V3,

HALCON 9.0 product DVD in a PC which is connected via
ethernet to the camera.
- After booting the camera, log in as administrator
on the camera and select the DVD drive of the PC as a network
drive. If the DVD drive is not visible you must enable the
sharing of the drive.
- Execute the program Setup.exe located
in the directory install-windows of
the DVD.
- From that point on, follow the instructions in the chapter
"Installing HALCON for the First Time" of the
HALCON Installation Guide. In most cases the Runtime

dongle driver nor the floating license server.

download and install the corresponding HALCON SonyXCI-2 acquisition interfaces from the
HALCON

- You can also download the HALCON 9.0.1 release from the
HALCON
download area. You must download the version
HALCON 9.0.1 for Windows XP on x86 compatible PCs.
- The Windows version comes as an executable file that
contains both the setup program and the HALCON files.
You can save the executable on the CF card and then start
the installation by executing it on the camera.

- You need a license to run HALCON on the

The license itself is stored in a file named
license.dat and resides
in the subdirectory license of the

HALCON Embedded distributor. The license is bound to the
host ID of the network card of the camera.
