First official release of the HALCON GenICamTL interface
  (July 30, 2010)
  First official release of the HALCON 9.0 GenICamTL interface which allows to access all cameras that are compliant to the GenICam GenTL standard.
The new HALCON GenICamTL interface acts as a complete GenTL Consumer, i.e., it can be used with every compliant GenTL Producer. Note that this interface does not install any new drivers, but will access the vendor-specific drivers which are encapsulated by the installed GenTL Producers. Like the HALCON GigEVision interface, this new interface also uses the GenApi runtime installation in %HALCONROOT%/genicam which is already part of HALCON 9.0.2 (registered customers can download it here).
 
New revision of the HALCON 1394IIDC interface

  New revision 3.8 / 4.5 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 1394IIDC interface released which is based on the new FirePackage driver 2v33 and allows to trigger a bus reset to all connected cameras. Furthermore, the new interface revision enables the use of a user-specific callback to indicate that a new image has been grabbed (registered customers can download both the interface as well as the underlying driver here).

  New revision 3.10 / 4.6 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 SaperaLT interface released which supports the acquisition of four-channel RGB images and provides additional parameters to control the line trigger and to query the camera signal status (registered customers can download it here).
 
New revision of the HALCON SICK-3DCamera interface

  New revision 4.3 of the HALCON 9.0 SICK-3DCamera interface released which is adapted to the new SDK version 4.1 and supports now also the ColorRanger E camera. Furthermore, the interface enables the reading of additional mark data for each scan and includes several improvements regarding trigger modes and error handling (registered customers can download both the interface as well as the underlying driver here).

New maintenance release 9.0.2 for HALCON 9.0

  The newest maintenance release 9.0.2 of HALCON 9.0 includes several enhancements, such as an improved HDevelop Image Acquisition Assistant, extensions to the 1D bar code and 2D data code readers, increased accuracy for high contrast images, and a significantly improved GigEVision interface, as well as documentation updates and fixes of all currently known bugs. Have a look at the release notes for a detailed description of HALCON 9.0.2. Registered customers can download the new release or a package to update an older release of HALCON 9.0.
 
First official release of the HALCON 1394IIDC-2 interface under Linux

  First official release of the HALCON 9.0 1394IIDC-2 interface which supports all IIDC 1394 (FireWire) compliant cameras under Linux. This new interface now is based on the latest libdc1394 v2 library and supports in particular also IEEE 1394b cameras. Note that this new interface is the official successor of the existing HALCON 1394IIDC interface for Linux which is still based on the old libdc1394 v1 library (registered customers can download it here).
 
New revision of the HALCON GigEVision interface
  (March 17, 2010)
  New revision 3.7 / 4.4 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 GigEVision interface released which allows the use of up to 65535 image buffers and includes two serious bugfixes to prevent a possible crash when increasing the payload size or when reconnecting a previously lost device in a multi-camera setup. Note that this new revision includes the updated version v1.0.0.2 of the underlying filter driver for Windows x86 which has to be installed seperately (registered customers can download it here).
 
First official release of the HALCON interface for Silicon Software boards via VisualApplets SDK 5.0

  First official release of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 SiliconSoftware interface which supports all microEnable III and microEnable IV Camera Link boards from Silicon Software based on the new SDK 5.0.2 under Windows XP/Vista/7 as well as under Windows XP/Vista/7 x64 Editions. Note that this new unified interface is the official successor of the existing HALCON mEnableIII, mEnableIV, and mEnableVisualApplets interfaces which were based on older SDK versions (registered customers can download it here).
 
New revision of the HALCON MILLite interface

  New revision 3.9 / 4.5 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 MILLite interface released which now is based on the new Matrox SDK Mil-Lite 9.0 and supports also Windows XP/Vista x64 Editions. Furthermore, the new interface revision allows to explicitly set the number of internally used buffers as well as to manually control the buffer ordering (registered customers can download it here).

  New revision 3.7 / 4.4 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 1394IIDC interface released which provides a bugfix concerning a memory leak in grab_image_start and grab_image_async in case that the parameter MaxDelay was explicitly set to a positive value and the grabbed image was actually "too old". Furthermore, the new revision allows to query all supported values for the Generic parameter in open_framegrabber (registered customers can download both the interface as well as the underlying driver here).

  New revision 3.3 / 4.1 of the HALCON 8.0 / 9.0 Crevis interface released which now is based on the new Crevis driver V2.0.0.1 and supports the control of digital I/O lines and several new camera types including color models.
