A sophisticated project between Panasonic Electric Works Europe AG and MVTec Software GmbH.Panasonic Electric Works Europe AG is the European headquarters of Matsushita Electric Works Ltd. (Japan), one of the biggest electric companies in the world.
Mr. Hiller, manager of the sensor and image recognition department, reflects on the positve cooperation with MVTec: "One of our major goals was to come up with a high performance and flexible system that can easily be adapted to new demands in the future. PC-Imagechecker P400 Project
The PC-Imagechecker P400 project started in February, 1996. In 1997, MVTec joined the project to provide sophisticated machine vision software covering areas such as image preprocessing, edge detection, feature extraction, and subpixel measurement. After several months of testing, the system is now ready for shipping. The first units have been delivered at the end of 1997.
